Stunning imagery, music, and cinematography, a powerful and moving film that follows bro’s Arran and Reid Jackson on a surf trip into the Great Bear Rainforest. The issue at the heart of the film is the proposed Enbridge Northern Gateway Pipeline, which would destroy the forest and surrounds in order to pump oil from Alberta to Kitimat, in Northern BC. Over 225 supertankers a year would transit the narrow waterways that make up the Great Bear Rainforest, putting one of the Earth’s most ecologically sensitive and intact ecosystems at risk of an oil spill. Much thanks to my friend Kevin of eightyfoureightyfive for sharing this epically beautiful, moving, and inspiring video. Check out his recent post of another amazing art project on Great Bear Rainforest Here.
