Rococo Chocolate. Direct Trade. Organic. London.
I’m not a ‘chocolate person’ per se but this chocolate is NEXT-LEV and blog-worthy. Rococo works in partnership with The Grenada Chocolate Company, using the Trinatario cocao beans. These beans come from the Grococo farm and are fermented and dried before being hand-sorted so that not a single bad bean slips through the cracks. The company prides itself for not using any vanilla, an approach most chocolate-makers take to cover up poor-quality flavours. The chocolate factory itself is solar powered: The wrapper is made from carbon neutral paper, made with wind power, and the finished bars are shipped from Grenada in a sailing cargo ship (no engines!), and the chocolate is kept cool by way of solar and wind power while being shipped.
