April Bloomfield is the executive chef and co-owner with Ken Friedman of the Michelin-starred The Spotted Pig, TheBreslin, and The John Dory restaurants. She has worked at London’s The River Café, among other celebrated restaurants. A native of Birmingham, England, she lives in NYC. I’m a big fan of April for many reasons, while she certainly isn’t a vegan chef, she believes in sourcing only sustainably produced, good-quality ingredients, supporting organic farmers who use ethical practices. Her book which came out in April 2012, A Girl and Her Pig was a massive hit, and has a recipe for everyone. April’s down to earth character and cooking comes across in her straight forward ‘River Cafe’ style recipes. Stoked that her book tour was documented in these video segments… totally entertaining to any April/food fans.
